Water Mitigation Project

Employees got a surprise early Monday morning when they arrived to work and found three inches of water in the entire basement of this office building after a water heater failed over the weekend.

A portion of the sidewalk was closed down to allow for the hoses needed to properly extract the water.

Over 800 gallons of water were removed from the basement. The photo below is almost halfway to completion.

The “easy” water has all been extracted and we have set commercial dehumidifiers and air movers to dry the remaining materials to pre-loss conditions according to industry standards with no demo. This process is called applied structural drying and approved on clean water losses such as this one. This building was completely dried in four short days using proper techniques and equipment.
